Alliance Customer Having Public Sex with a Young Man from the Neighborhood...

This is probably the most shocking thing I've seen so far living next to Alliance. I guess what Alliance pays it customers for recycling is so below market rate that this Alliance Customer is supplementing her income by offering sex. I just couldn't believe my eyes. I don't really have any words...

More Illegal Double-Parking by Alliance...

And the Police are Called Again to Deal with an Alliance Customer Across the Street from the Willie Keyes Recreation Center...

Just what the neighborhood kids need to see. Actually, they see all sorts of stuff all around Alliance. In about a 2-3 block raidus you will find: Drug use, drug selling, public intoxication, prostitution, etc...all by Alliance Customers.

More Drug Use by Alliance Customers Just Around the Corner from Its Facilities...

The Police are Called to Alliance Once Again...

Alliance Refuses to Keep Its Doors Closed in an Effort to Muffle Noise...

It's bad enough that incredible smells eminate from Alliance...but noise is also a major nuisance/problem. Alliance is suppose to keep its door closed to help with muffling noise but routinely ignores its neighbors across the street. This "I don't care about the neighborhood" attitude is quite distressing. It's very sad to have a owner of a business feel this way.

A Desperate Neighbor Puts Up His Own Sign...

...trying to discourage Alliance Customers from parking illegally and blocking his business. Apparently, Alliance is unable to control their own customers. And, this sign is a futile attempt since Alliance Customers are seen parking illegally all the time with Alliance doing little to remedy the situation. Perhaps Alliance needs a bigger facility that offers its customers off-street parking. There was talk of Alliance moving to the old Oakland Army Base. Alliance could afford it but chooses to spend money on attorneys and PR agencies...rather than deal with it own real problems.

More Hazardous Blocking of Streets by Alliance Customers...

Allliance Customer Purchases Drugs Just Around the Corner from Alliance's Facilities...

Having just gotten cash from Alliance, two customers buy drugs on the street. Leaving their empty stolen shopping cart at the curb, they plan to smoke the drugs on the side of a local church just around the corner from Alliance. This is a frequent activity in a frequent location that Alliance is aware of. But where is Alliance's Security guard? The Customers, becoming nervous once realizing that they are being watch, leave...to do their drugs in front of someone else's home.

"Don't F*** With My Can...

A desperate neighbor tries to discourage Alliance Customers from stealing it's contents and/or the whole bin itself. I'm sure more than a dozen recycling bins disappear from the homes around Alliance each week...suggested by the fact that Alliance collects 2-3x the number of stolen shopping carts. However, Alliance refuses to deal with the recycling bins and offers some lame excuse (blah, blah, blah)...so the bins end up littering our neigborhood along with still an amazing number of shopping carts that don't end up at Alliance.

More Abandoned Stuff in the Park Across the Street from Alliance...

...left by Alliance Customers. This has been brought to his attention many, many times...since he is rarely on site himself. Nevertheless, Jay instructs his staff to ignore the goings on of their customers...unless it is stuff abandoned on the sidewalks directly in front of Alliance's facilities.

Alliance's Own Trucks Double Park on a Regular Basis...

The car in the bottom picture didn't want to drive against traffic so squeezed through the double-parked Alliance truck and the other parked cars.

Alliance's Own Trucks Not Only Block Streets but Sidewalks as Well...

This truck was parked blocking the sidewalk for over 30 minutes.

Yuck! Alliance Customer takes a S*** in My Yard...

Not as frequent as the open and public urination of Alliance Customers but witness and evidence of defecation can seen periodically. Again, a health issue created by Alliance Customers.

A Constant Dumping of Abandoned Shopping Carts and Recycling Bins...

...by Alliance Customers create an unrelenting blight and attracts more illegal dumping. This sight is just across the park from Alliance and is a constant problem that Alliance continues to ignore.

More Alliance Customer Trucks Double Parked...

Alliance Customers double parking are a constant nuisance. A dangerous nuisance as other cars are forced to cross over into the opposing traffic. Alliance staff are no where to be found. This is in violation of Alliance's conditional-use permit.

Alliance Customers Huddled in the Rain Smoking Crack...

Just minutes after Alliance opens its doors at 8:00a, three customers have turned in their recycling, collected cash, bought crack and start smoking it right in the streets just around the corner from Alliance Metals. Where is Alliance's Security guard? Jay knows this happens everyday but does little to curb this kind of illegal activity. So, Alliance's customers come back the next day and do it all over again.

Again, more Public Urination and Just Steps from Alliance's Restrooms...

Alliance Customers Regularly Engage in Illegal Double Parking...

This is a constant problem with Alliance Metals. They have been so successful that their facility cannot accomodate all their customers. Their operations spill out onto our streets. From customers double-parking...to customers unloading recycling on our streets...to Alliance parking and repairing their own trucks also on our streets. Alliance definately needs a larger facility and should probably move. And they have the money to do so. If they won't spend money improving their operations here and mitigate the negative effects to our community then moving seems to make sense.

Alliance made $10 million in 2006. With the current economy they are more than likely making even more. It's time for Alliance to be a good neighbor or leave. It's Jay's choice.

Alliance also Uses Stolen Shopping Carts to Let their Customer Unload Recycling on Our Streets...

Alliance Metals loans out stolen shopping carts to their customers. BTW, this unloading of recycling should not be happening on our streets (and notice the illegal parking). All unloading of recycling should happen inside Alliance's facilities. Again, another violation of their conditional-use permit. The permit needs to be pulled.
