Alliance Customer Urinates in Front of 3 Neighborhood Youths...

This is yet another example how Alliance customers unabashedly urinate in public. This instance is just around the corner from Alliance (maybe 100 feet). He finishes just as 3 neighborhood youths walk by. I'm sure the youths are all charmed by the display just as the rest of the neighborhood.

Drug Needles Around Alliance Metals...

Alliance supplies it's customers with cash. The cash is used for "food" (chips and other junk food). It's also used for alcohol. And drugs. Many times Alliance customers don't even get more than 1/2 a block away before they hide between cars (and other hiding places) doing their drugs. Alliance turns a "blind" eye because their drug-addicted customer are so profitable.

(Yet Another) Police Bust Around Alliance Metals...

The police are overburdened with regular busts occuring around Alliance Metals. These same people being busted are also seen loitering in our streets, riding bicycles and talking on cell phones (to other drug runners?). Many of the neighborhood families are concerned that their homes are being cased for future thefts. Notice the RV camper in the background. The camper decided to clear the area right after the police did.

RV Campers Parked around Alliance Metals...

Alliance customers and these RV campers form an "Alliance Village" that pops up every day and takes over our parks. These campers don't pay for hook-up services and routinely dump their trash on the streets and (even though Alliance is just steps away) the prefer to urinate against the park trees and the fence of City Slicker Farms. The trash that they leave behind becomes a magnet for other dumping. You can see these RV campers in our nieghborhood around Alliance Metals.

RV Campers around Alliance are also Part of the Problem...

This camper had to urinate so walked over to the fence to relieve himself. These RV campers show up around Alliance Metals and form part of what neighborhood folk refer to as Alliance Village. These RV campers (sometimes as many as half a dozen) park around Alliance. They help hide drug activities. And, as pointed out earlier, they don't use the restroom facilities inside the campers, they use our streets instead. They also dump their trash and change their oil and perform other auto repair activities, leaving behind empty oil and transmission containers.

Our Neighborhood has Become Alliance's Restrooms...

Alliance's customer openly urinate in the park across the way but save their defecation for other parts of our neighborhood. Here is another popular site next to Alliance itself (there are several sites around Alliance that are not fenced off and are used as restrooms). Alliance does not clean up these messes but lets them decompose over several days (sometimes weeks). No wonder people living in the area do not like walking next to Alliance. Some have even suggested that this is part of the reason why Alliance smells so bad all the time.

Our Parks have Become Alliance's Waiting Room...

Alliance attracts a crowd that loiters in our parks. Often times they are seen drinking and even doing drugs. Drug dealers routinely cater to Alliance's customers and are involved in open drug transactions. Neighborhood families are uncomfortable letting their children play in these parks. In addition to leaving behind food wrappers, Alliance customers leaves behind all sorts of trash. They also publicly urinate in the park. Alliance refuses to patrol these parks and has been ineffective in curbing these activities.

Alliance Thinks they're Helping the "Poor"...but they're Really Helping Themselves...

In reality Alliance is doing nothing but enabling alcohol and drug use around our neighborhood. Oh, and profiting by it...$10,000,000/yr. Some suggest that number is now even much higher.

Another Abandoned Cart? No, Just Another Customer Engaged in Public Urination...

Many of These Shopping Carts and Recycling Bins End Up Littering Our Neighborhood...

Alliance refuses to take responsibility for these shopping carts and stolen recycling bins left by the customers that they attract on a daily basis. Many of the businesses where these carts are stolen from complain and are frustrated by the money they have to spend replacing these carts. Even if carts are returned these businesses they have to spend money to refurbish the carts. Again, Alliance profits off the backs of others. Alliance is a bad neighbor not just to those that live around it but also to fellow businesses.

A Constant Parade of Shopping Carts and Recycling Bins...

Stolen Shopping Carts and Recycling Bins are also Road Hazards...

Alliance Customers Hazardously Double-Park and Block our Streets...

Again, Alliance's facility is too small. Their customer's cars and trucks regularly double-park and block our streets. Other cars are forced to hazardly drive against traffic to get around this constant congestion. Alliance needs to find a new home where there is more room to contain their business activities and not inflict themselves on an innocent neighborhood that deserves more.

Alliance Shamelessly Uses More Stolen Shopping Carts...

Again, more examples of Alliance pushing their cost of doing business on to others and involving the use of other illegal activities.

Alliance Also Uses Our Streets to Repair their Trucks...

Alliance Trucks Litter our Streets...

Another part of Alliance's business plan to to use our streets as their personal parking lot. Alliance's facilties are too small that they have to move their truck out in order to make room for their customers. Why doesn't Alliance have it's own parking lots? Pak N Sav does. Home Depot does. Alliance's continues to profit by negatively impacting others.

Part of Alliance's Business Plan Makes Use of Stolen Shopping Carts...

Part of Alliance's business plan is to make use of stolen shopping carts brought in by their customers which in turn Alliance lends out to other customers. Another part of Alliance's business plan is to make use of the "down and out" to steal bottles and cans from recycling bins all over Oakland. In effect, Alliance is stealing from the City of Oakland. Alliance is stealing from us. And profiting to the tune of $10,000,000 a year.

Alliance Please Clean Up Your S***...Literally...

Neighborhood folk don't like walking around Alliance Metals. Not only does it smell, it is a public restroom for Alliance customers. Here is a photo of some recent defectation. The community has asked Alliance to fence off their landscaping since their customers frequently like to hide in the shrubbery to piss and take a crap. As is typical, Alliance doesn't (pardon the pun) give a s***. Our pleas have been ignored and this section of Alliance has been without a fence for over a year. You'll also notice the graffiti on the walls. Alliance will leave graffiti on it's building for weeks. Alliance is the biggest blight and health issue facing our neighborhood.

Alliance Customers Steal Recycling Bins More than a Mile Away...

This recycling bin was stolen from Athens Street more than a mile away from Alliance (you can see the address painted on the bin). This bin has been on this corner for several days now. Alliance allows it's customers to bring in stolen goods from stolen recycling bins. Alliance claims that they don't accept goods brought in via recycling bins but what Alliance doesn't say is that they then loan stolen shopping carts to their customers in which they transfer their stolen goods and then wheel into Alliance's facilities...leaving or dumping the stolen recycling bins on our streets. Alliance customers get their drug money, Alliance increases it's revenue, the neighbor gets trashed.
