Three Abandoned Carts on Haven Street...

Dumped by Alliance customers. Who filled the carts up with junk? It could have been Alliance customers...or others who noticed the carts and thought why not?

Crapped Dumped by Alliance's Customers...

Notice Alliance Metals in the background of all these photos. Alliance will clean up the sidewalks around it's perimeter (albeit not very well). And they use to clean up the park across the street where many of their customer loiter during the day (again, not very well). But they won't clean up crap left by their customers on our property or in front of our homes. They used to if we'd call. But many of us don't get home until after Alliance closes.

First There Was One Abandoned Recycling Bin...

...then an Alliance customer added a stolen shopping cart then someone added their crap. This is how dumping grows in Dogtown...thanks to Alliance Metals. Alliance customers already know it's OK (to steal carts and bins) and dump them in our neighborhood. Others drive by and think it's OK to dump their stuff, too.

This is the Broken Window theory in action. (Google it).

Three Abandoned Shopping Carts, One Abandoned Recycling Bin...

...on the corner of 34th and Hollis. This is what people coming from Emeryville see. Welcome to Dogtown and Alliance's "beautification" project.

Alliance Customer Purchasing Drugs at 32nd and Union...

The Alliance customer parks "his" (stolen) cart behind the drug dealer's car...

Then he goes along his merry way while the drug dealer waits for the next Alliance customer to wheel by with money provided by Alliance Metals (and our stolen recycling).

The resident who took this photo called 510.238.DRUG. Be sure to report all Alliance drug activity to the police.

Alliance Customers Doing Drugs at 34th and Magnolia...

Having collected their money from Alliance these two customer "hide" behind a truck to smoke their drugs. They don't look too happy being seen yet the are brazen enough to do this just across the street from Alliance and out in the open. They don't even bother to hide all that well. And you can see that Alliance's rumored security guards are no where to be seen.

Uh, oh. She don't look to happy...

So they are leaving the scene. Although, many other Alliance customers hangout out, do more drugs, drink alcohol, buy junk food and throw their wrappers on the ground, in front of our houses, urinate between parked cars or against a tree or telephone pole, etc.

An Alliance Employee Walking Down the Middle of 34th Street

Parading Down Peralta Street...

Alliance Customers parade down Peralta street...down 34th street...down Magnolia street ... frequently creating road hazards for residents, commuters and those not familar with the area. Someday someone is going to get hurt.

Another Alliance Customer Urinating on Our Streets...

This location is on Peralta just 100 ft from Alliance. Everyday, throughout the day, Alliance customers publicly urinate (and defecate) on our public streets, oftentimes "hiding" between parked cars and trucks. Alliance's own trucks parked on our streets (instead of in their own facilities) are an especially popular place for these improptu restrooms. Alliance's staff are ineffective in getting their customer to stop this and many other disgusting and illegal acts.

Alliance Customer Urinating Against a Tree...

A different Alliance customer openly urinating against a tree just steps from where another Alliance customer was seen taking a shit! Peralta and Haven streets.

Alliance Customer Riffling Through Our Recycling Bins...

Even trespassing if necessary...

An Alliance Staffer "Shoots the Breeze" with an Alliance Customer while Double-parked...

It's not just Alliance customers blocking our streets, Alliance's own staff are part of the problem. This is in direct violation of their Conditional Use Permit (CUP) as are many other activities.

Another Alliance Customer with His Young Drug Dealer...

The same morning when an Alliance customer was seen taking a shit on our streets, another Alliance customer is starting off his morning getting high with his drug dealer. This was on 32nd Street between Peralta and Magnolia. Serious drug dealing (and public urination/defecation) happens within a 1-2 block radius from Alliance Metals. Things get less frequent the further out you go.

(Warning: Graphic Photo) Alliance Customer Takes a Shit on Haven Street...

A Dogtown resident notices on his way to work an Alliance customer digging around the garbage on Haven Street (just across) from Alliance. The customer was swatting as he was picking around. Then the resident notices that the gentleman was actually taking a shit and looking for something to wipe his butt. The resident was only able to pull over and take a photo after the Alliance customer was done. Going back later the resident was able to take these close-up shots. Unless someone walking a large dog used a discarded McDonalds bag to wipe his dog's butt it's pretty obvious that this disgusting mess was indeed left by a human being, an Alliance customer to be specific. This is a more common occurance than one might think.

Alliance Metals is just across from the City Slicker Farms in the last photo. Who knows, maybe City Slickers can fertilize their crops with human feces instead of chicken poop.

A Neighbor Picks Up Trash Left by Alliance Customers...

On a daily basis, Alliance customers drop their trash in front of homes all around Alliance. While Alliance cleans up the sidewalks around their business (sort of) they don't clean up the trash left around our homes.

Here's a blow up of the photo showing Alliance receipts also tossed by Alliance customers. Just one of the many, many ways Alliance customers (and Alliance) continue to show their disrespect for the neighborhood.
