More Illegal Unloading by Alliance Customers...

Note that these customers borrow stolen shopping carts collected by Alliance Metals and are unloading their truck on our streets (instead of within Alliance's facility per their CUP). Why is it that Alliance's business model includes the use of stolen carts? And our stolen recycling? Just like Alliance uses our streets and sidewalks as their staging grounds, Alliance business model does not include covering their own cost of doing business. Rather, we, as an unfortunate neighbors, have to bear the costs and inconvenience. Alliance is definitely a bad neighbor to have.

More Illegal Double-Parking by Alliance's Customers on Busy Peralta...

Notice the truck also blocking the sidewalk in front of Alliance. Alliance needs to conduct all of its business within its own walls. If Pak'n'Sav, Home Depot and Best Buy can be self-contained and not spill out onto the neighborhood, why shouldn't Alliance.

Alliance Draws a Crowd that Cases Our Homes...

Many of Alliance's customer come and leave...but many don't. They loiter and live around Alliance since that is their income source...Alliance and our stolen recyclables. This woman below was found trespassing and prowling around a neighbor's home. Her accomplice was waiting on the street and signaled to her that someone was coming. She refused to respond the neighbor that caught them "snooping" and just briskly walked away...

Turing off Magnolia (which has become one of the many "highways" for Alliance's recycling bootleggers) and onto 34th, the woman and her accomplice walks past Alliance Metals...

Following them further we discover where they "live". This is just one of the many Alliance Village camps found littered around our neighborhood and homes. This dangerous, unhealthy and debasing existence is what Jay (owner of Alliance Metals) is trying to defend?...

The gentleman accomplice gets nervous and leaves...

He decides to change his appearance by turning his jacket inside out. Now he's an African American man wearing an orange jacket...not a green one as might be reported to the Police...

Again, walking past Alliance Metals...the source of much of Dogtown's ills...

Here's a close up face shot of the woman prowler. Be careful if you see her on our streets. She may be casing your home next...

Alliance Metals is indeed an "attractive nuisance" that draws all sorts of people with questionable behavior. Even the City of Oakland is concerned and will be having a hearing shortly to determine the fate of Alliance Metals. With curb-side recycling already in place perhaps Alliance Metals is a dinosaur business that is no longer relevant. And perhaps Alliance Metals is doing more harm than good and severely impacting the quality of life of those who live near it.
